Some of your Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Working with Planning and Sales to achieve optimal production efficiencies
  • Managing raw material, packaging and finished goods stock levels, including ordering where necessary
  • Optimizing factory layout and adherence to the layout
  • Implementing and improving system process flows
  • Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
  • Measuring and improving productivity by business unit and individuals
  • Setting ambitious production goals and communicate them to personnel
  • Implementing a waste control system with measurable outcomes
  • Preparing & manage a budget for maintenance of equipment and vehicles, along with a schedule of short, medium, and long term maintenance
  • Ensuring all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines
  • Providing motivation, support, and guidance to all employees
  • Assessing the training and development needs of all employees and develop a succession plan for key jobs
  • Recruiting and selecting relevant team members as needed
  • Reporting directly to the Board…

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be in possession of an Engineering degree
  • Management Diploma would be advantageous
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in a production environment
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role would be advantageous
  • Computer literate (MS Office and Pastel Evolution)
  • Have an understanding of safety legislation – i.e.: OSHACT etc.
